Today was a beautiful day, 1/10/10.  Got a chance to go out to Gorman-(Hungry Valley) with my bud Daniel Kurtzman.
We have been working on his baja for the last about 3 yrs. and it's finally done.

Last weekend he took it out to ocatillo wells but I could not make it, so to make it up to me he took it out with me today and let me drive all day!!   It was a Kick Ass day for sure.

So here are some pics I captured though they are not so great quality as I forgot the camera and these are cell phone shots.

Just unloaded. Still dirty from last weekend.

  Beautiful morning.

  And still more...

Couldn't of asked for a more beautiful day.

Wish I had the camera not just the cell phone. But you can dig it...

So they say in racing if your not breaking something your not trying hard enough... Well I guess in offroading if you dont stick it you are not trying hard enough as well..... Right?

So yeah I got it stuck on the black diamond trail but it was all the way at the end.  A great group of about 9 bike riders stopped to help us get it out of this jam.

Doesn't look like much in these shots but I assure you it was.

Still beautiful

Very fun day indeed..

Nice. Looks like tons of fun!

I drove my car through Randy's driveway.....

I thought a Baja would've been the ticket!

Good times Jason!

When I dropped out of the Cal-Look scene back in the early 80's it was due largely to my love for off roading. (and American Hot-Rods Wink)

We have a cabin in Joshua Tree near the Military Base in 29 Palms... tons of trails from mild to wild! Been off-roading there since 1985.

Nice Baja! I've built some mid-travel cars over the years for everybody but myself! Ha! Maybe someday!

We're going to do the Mojave Trail in our Baja's in the springtime -- should be fun! You should go!

Just for kicks, I've included a photo of my 1968 Burro Grin I use this car often!

Hi Jason,

EMPI had the Sportster. Mine was built by Tiny Thompson of Burro Mfg. I'm not sure how many years Burro was around but it was fairly commom to see them back in the old days of desert racing... lot's of info on the internet. We actually have four of them in the family (yes, we have problems Cheesy)

Jim, looks like a nice family outing!

That looks like a fun day indeed! Wished I'd live in a place where you can drive a baja under blue skies in January.
