nostalgia styling would be in order, non of that tuning stuff they do in poland.
It gives you the weight of a buggy and the safety of being in a car.
Design of the car is the same style as the fiat x1/9 and that has been used to.
cars can be found very very cheap to, certainly without an engine and gearbox.

there's seevral fiiat vw powered in  europe like peter englesoz chooped 600  the x1/9 ex jack sachette , also sugar daddy it's 500 , the sting  850 , the raceshop 850  the lil wooper 500 etc...

Doe's anyone remember bug jam 89 or 90 with the little ratty fiat 500 with a basic 1600 racing the audi quattro ? got some pics of it some place .
It seamed to get drawn against the quattro time after time , flew off the line & left the audi standing , but always just beaten at the top end .

yes,and it had a huge 1641cc engine,quality to see it beat the Audi over and over Cheesy  every time it came round the crowd would get quite exited Cheesy  Not sure about a 126 though,sometimes being different for the sake of it isnt good

It was built by Bob Wick, who then built a rail which I think Became Paul Venners Air Express. It was before my time - I only got into VWs in '95, but KS might know a bit more. Smiley

I do remember the Airexpress rail from the early shows I went to my first VW drag meeting was the GCC sumer nationals in 88 and that rail ran there I wonder what happened to the fiat?

bought some narrowed axles on the lounge. Idea is to make the wheels fit inside the body.

sugar daddy Huh? Never have seen it again !? Comes from germany i think... Does anyone know was happened ?
