D.B.O. Not a club; a state of mind.

« on: July 20, 2010, 04:52:29 am »

Many moons ago, when we were a club, Craig Park was our regular place to meet up with our cars. Also the same venue where we've had a few picnics over the last couple of years. This past weekend, on Sunday, we gathered once again.

Arriving at Craig Park, Susy & Mike Herbert did a great job with the directional signs. Gotta make it easy for us DEEKS.

THIS... was/is awesome! Having Nanci & Henry back in So Cal, Henry's birthday, and Vince's artwork fired up again. NICE!

Two fast/iconic/cool great street cars.

That's not Salisbury steak, Hank... blow on it.

Seriously... FREE ICE CREAM? Thees eez grreet kanwtree, yez?

Cars & stuff.

My childhood friend, Dave Purnell's club application. CLASSIC!

Power cosmic del Gusano!

Schwimmer... upon final approach.

Lisa, do you think that we'll have enough food? I dunno.

Mmm, food.

Moar karz und stuph.

YEAH, babee.

Pay to the order of: Mister Keg. HAHAHA!!! God, I love this club.

Gruppenbild!

This is just TOO cool! Thanks for bringing all of that great club stuff, Bill.

Thanks to our Lisa, Susy, Mike, and anyone else that I forgot to mention for putting this successful bash together. 'Tis safe to say that everyone present had a great time. The only elements missing were a few members. Hopefully, they'll be able to attend the next get together.

Mr. Rosique......... how funny you are.  BUT..... you are wise as well.  Yes, the "police" did make a showing.  Not once but twice.  The first was for me at my arrival in the a.m., trying to show off the growl de new 48 weber.  I hit the gas in 2nd for 20 yards or so and................ then...Mr Park Ranger motioning his finger at me and parked RIGHT in front of my car.  Ha.  A bit of, "you gotta be kidding me" ensued and I was allowed to stay at the park.  Ridiculous, albeit humorus.  Now the 2nd incident I did not witness but "heard" it had to do with some sort of open glass beverage container or something..... Hmmmmmm.....

Great day it was for sure.

Somethings you THOUGHT should change never do.

"......and then the cops showed up"  Once again

HAHA!! Yep, I would've been VERY worried and rather concerned if no authority showed up. Thankfully, Worm took care of that. Later in the afternoon, they came back again. Good to know that some things just refuse to change.

 Grin

Thanks Zach, its the same power mill I have been running for awhile, it just happens to have a new fuel delivery system.  I have wanted 48 webers since I was 16 or 17 years old, and now at 48 I finally got (Italian) 48's.  The irony.  Mr Greg Brinton did the weber install and adjust... what a witch.  The motor is a standard 1776, scat crank 120 cam rockers straight cuts blah blah blah you know. It's got some pep, it goes for a lil small cc power plant.  Shes fun.
