Want to go racing and have fun on the street?

Breaks my heart to do this, but need to concentrate my commitment (and £££s) on my 1958 Standard 'Cal Look' project.

1967 Black Plate California import into UK in 2009. Consistent high 12 sec 1/4 mile car.

Very, very solid California car (unwelded) with excellent performance, yet driveable on the street. Paint not perfect,
but very presentable with some well earned dings and dents as a result of hard use on the drag strip! (in the USA).

Street/Strip package includes the following:

2276cc (DMS 82mm X Cima 94mm)
5.5Eagle Rods, FK8 Engle Cam (298/.534)
040 Heads, 44 X37.5 V7 Ported and Polished by Performance Technology
9.8:1 Compression, runs on 92 Octane (I run on 97 Octane in the UK)
New Spanish Weber 48IDA carbs on Scat Trak Manifolds
Holley Fuel Pump, MSD Ignition with MSD Launch Contol and Line Loc
Berg 1 3/4" Header with 3" Magnaflow Muffler by OldSpeed
Motor recently redone (in 2009) with all bearings replaced by Steve Timms at Performance Workshop
Ron Lummus Racing Black Magic Clutch (it bites!)

Transwest built gearbox with 4.12 Ring and Pinion, 3.78 1st, 2.35 2nd, 1.48 3rd and 1.04 4th gears
Trans gussets, aluminum side covers, heavy duty axles, Optima battery
Gene Berg locking shifter
Original Empi GT steering wheel
Rear seat currently removed, but comes with it of course. Recently fitted new TMI interior cards (originals included)

Spec of 'spare' long block that comes with the overall package:

2276 with Brand new Mag case
82mm DPR stroker crank, wedgemated flywheel, Scat H Beam rods,
Wiseco Pistons, CB 044 heads, 42x37 valves, FK87, straightcut gears,
SCAT 2 qtr sump, auto craft 1.4 ratio rockers, MSD distributor coil,
Scat Doghouse shroud and tinware. Heads polished and ported and engine build was by Ian Clark at WPS.
25 miles all on 1/4 mile, but perfectly streetable and CR of 10.5.1.

Car is currently a non-starter due to fuel starvation issue (blocked fuel filter/faulty pump),
however this will of course be rectified before sale.

Ideally the car needs as external oil cooler fitted in order to make it completely streetable (currently running decklid stand offs) and it is SOLID mounted (i.e. very noisy!), but recently driven 300 miles to race at Santa Pod with no issues (apart from the above and a fan belt that was past it's sell by date!).

Price of £14k is pretty firm but open to P/X on a decent (no shitters!) T4, Squareback or maybe even Karmann Ghia plus cash my way.
