Tonights DKP Cruz night turned out pretty good, met HECKER, pretty cool guy, talked about old times and our VW's, his black 67' was very cool! There was also a VERY NICE 66' off white, I believe a new beatle color, was a project in progress and a nice one at that. Anybody get any pics of that car?

I had a great day yesterday.  First, there was a 3:30 meeting at Bill's house where we welcomed Fabien Becasse to the ranks of DKP (you really should cheer up, dude Roll Eyes Wink)... CONGRATULATIONS!!! Cool Grin.  Then we took to the streets for a cruise before heading over to Nick's for some food.  A few pics...

Great night at Nick's... I concur. Congrats to Fabien! One of our DEEKS partially debuted his 1966 Type 1, last night. That's the car Ted's referring to. It's scheduled to get a full interior soon to finish it off. The rest of the car turned out GREAT! Owner, Joe "Skeeter" Larson is stoked to be driving the very D.K.K. car that he had thirty years ago. (more on that car in another thread, later)

Personally, I really enjoyed the silver convertible Ghia. Great car! And, as usual, had a fun time hanging out with everyone. Thanks for the pics, Sarge. Any more?

Nice one Mark!  That is actually the first time the top has been up in MONTHS.  And can I say, the 48's growl a lot louder with a roof to echo in.  Thanks for the shout out.  It was cool seeing all you guys last night.  I rarely attend the DKP night and I should go much more often it was a lot of fun....as always.

Anyone have a pic of my ride with the top UP?  I dont.  ha.

Oh and congrats to my second favorite Fabian.  Wink  What a nice addition to the Fleet.

Good thing we killed sometime in Bill's front yard and missed getting in the midst of all the "yellow tape" action with the cops and the red Mercedes C -class.

HA! You should have stayed a little while longer, Rick. You missed QUITE the um... "car" that pulled into the lot right after you left. It's been a long time since I've seen Herr Schwimmer THAT amazed.

Now THAT was a knife.

But WHERE'S the picture --- GAWD that thang was way too unusual !!! When I left
it was on the corner of Euclid at a Chevron station. Maybe he was looking for some
attention. I couldn't explain any of it to my co-workers.
Oh yeah --- Ted, thanks, and great to meet you as well. Look forward to speaking
again soon. Maybe for our Bugs & Breakfast ??
