I will, but I didn't take that much pictures of all the work I've put in to her. But you should be putting your car up here, it's a shame not to share that beauty!

not sure where to start, so I'll just take it part by part.

first up. The DCNF's.
when I bought them they came with a set of long SCAT manifolds, and altough they are great, I really wanted purple manifolds  Grin

looks a lot better if you ask me. And I was lucky to find a paint that matches the NOS linkage perfectly (more on that later)

It took me a lot of research to find out what to do with the carbs before they are ideal for VW engines. altough most of the mods aren't nescesary, I still wanted to do my best to make them as good as I could.
a common problem is overflowing when cornering hard. A DCNF has the air vent on the inside of the lid, so when you corner hard fuel can flow directly in the bowls.

So I filled it op with Belzona
also note the ball float valve, stock they come with a needle. All the ferrari guys are changing them to ball float valve (also with there problems, but you have to chose a side...)

because you have to have a breather for the fuel bowls I made a snorkel that comes up high enough

[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

the butterflies came with standard nuts, witch restrict flow (very minimal, but still). needed to be addressed.
not the best picture because now they sit a little bit lower still, but you get the idea

grooved venturies made from scratch:

I wanted a special stack and designed it myself and have my brother 3D print it to test, but haven't printed them in the right material yet because I'm working on something different. I want to incorporate a variable stack length in combination with a rpm activated switch on my MSD, but it sits really low on my priority list.

The test part:

I also installed a choke delete kit and replaced the needles with new ones.

the lid came with a original stack, witch I had to delete

Lastly I adapted the lids to accept a AN-6 connector because my whole fuel system is already AN-equiped.

after that I fully dismantled them again and got them ultrasonically cleaned before rebuilding them with a revision kit

Would have hoped to be giving some bigger updates by now, but the car itself is still at the painter  Undecided.

Only thing I got at home at the moment is the engine and the wheels. I also have a stock front beam that just returned from powder coating ready to be assembled with some brand new Empi zero offset dropped spindles. More on that later.

The engine:
the plan is to build a 78x88 with FK8 someday. Already have most of the parts, like a old 044 performance heads, as21 case coming out of a 1 owner 50k miles 1302, engle fk8, 78mm crank and Biral 88m cylinders with slipper skirt. Not sure if I'll use the slipper skirts, but that's for later.

The engine now is still a 1641 with DIY headjob. Nicolas built it for me and it drives like a dream. Didn't need anything, but I wanted to backdate it some more to really give it the 70s vibe I'm going for.

Starting with some more DDS-goodies.

Also replaced the oil pump cover with a DDS one I got from Dem. Clyde's buggies breather made room for a gene berg breather tower.
Oil lines were black and felt that stainless with red and blue would fit it better. Engine thin is now power coated and the generator is replaced with a dynamator to complete the look

wanted to be further in the process than I am today, but some things you have no control over. Car still hasn't returned from the bodyshop, but we're making progress. big step forward is the completion of the engine. Some minor details that need addressing, but for the most part it is what I envisioned.
I changed the carbs from 40IDF's to DCNF's, but for some reason they just looked to dull. So I drew up a set of stacks and Dem printed them for Me. But because I didn't want to loose the oldschool look to much I ended up painting them anodized purple like the rest of the DDS parts on my engine:

finished the oil lines as well, will be connected to the filter/cooler plate via quick disconnect fittings.

Because there isn't that much to do without the car being here I ended up starting I job I didn't want to do at all, the wheels.
My Fuchs started life as cheap SSP wheels with the wrong shape and paintjob. When I first got them I did a halfass job getting the look right, but I always knew I had to redo them, now was the time.

stripped the paint and redrew all the lines to get the radius like a real Fuchs
[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

had shaped every spoke with 180grid sandpaper until I was happy with the shape and than started sanding them down with 180, 240, 300, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000, 3000, 5000 and then polishing them in 5 steps

[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

built a turning jig to sand and polish the lip as well, so that will be next. after that getting the lines right for painting.

Door gaps are on point

nose grills are closed

Most of the welding I did 15 years ago are more or less OK and didn't need that much work. But there were some spots that needed redoing, now is the time.
front end and roof are in epoxy again

if all goes as planned (witch it won't) she'll get paint somewhere later this month. But again, that's something I heard a time or 2 before...
