another part needed fixing was the shift rod coupler. When I was younger everything needed to be urethane because red makes you go faster.
The only part left for 39 year old Glauco to fix was the shift rod coupler (apart from the urethane silent blokcks on the Mohr racing transmission mid mount, but that's something for this winter)
The coupler worked fine with the old gearbox, but after the full rebuild and upgrade I had a hard time finding first, after adjusting the shifter I had a hard time finding 4th.
you could also really see the play in the urethane/screw setup
Saw a billet empi coupler at EBI so bought that and installed it yesterday. Havent driven it yet, but I have no trouble finding the gears now...

where to start since the last update..?
I really wanted to go to EBI with the car so the last few weeks should have been filled with KG-madness. Sadly my dad past away a few weeks ago so I had lost the courage for a few weeks to do anything on the car.
because of all the work my dad and I put into the car, the only right thing to do was to get it done asap. In a way the car helped me cope with the los.
Long story short, I made it to EBI, had a very fun weekend and got some cool compliments.
But for me there are some major hurdles to be taken in the next few weeks to get the car to where I can be extra proud.
friday morning the car had 15km's on it before the departure to chimay, witch is about 200km from my house.
despite it using 20l/100km and leaked oil from what I think is the crank case seal, the car performed flawlessly.
there is a slight colour difference on the front hood and rear valance that need to be addressed by the painter asap, but nothing that can't be fixed.

Super cool you made it to EBI even if the KG's not 100% finished yet.  We have winters to focus on details and finish cars!
Glad you pulled through the dreadful days of you dad passing.  It's sort of a "good thing" it weighs on you, means you guys had a strong connection!

It's just a shame of that fugly 914 in the picture, that ruins the shot imho.

I wanted to use another picture because the 914 is indeed a little bit of a ugly duckling in the pack, but the guy driving it is allright

Just kidding, it would have been cooler to have your 67 in the lineup, but the 914 was a cool alternative, great looking car!

Next sight for sore eyes was the fitment of the chrome trim under the side windows. They fit great, but the stock clips didn't want to keep them in place.
Bought brand new clips, wasn't helping. Pried them open to give some more tension didn't help either.

So I decided to adjust some bolts to make them fit in the rails

Fitment is perfect now

Used flanged locking nuts to - hopefully - Keep everything together...

With mounting everything in a hurry to get to EBI I had to trust that everything was stored properly during the 2 year paint job...
Apparently not everything, my NOS window wiper arm got drenched in some oil and the paint let go...
Didn't have L91 at home on Thursday evening before ZBI, but I had touch up wheel paint.

Last week I repainted both arms in original L91 chrome silver

Tonight I'm bringing the trunklid an rear apron back to the painter. He did these separately, and you can tell.
