Hi Everyone

I am now producing replicas of the old EMPI gasser hoods in fibreglass .

These hood were always a terrible fit , but for this mould the scoops were cut out and fitted into an original steel hood . I have offered one on my bug as you can see and they are an excellent fit , and an excellent finish . They have a round badge hump at the top rather than the EMPI logo .

I do them in a 4.5 ounce lay-up , which works out around 3mm thick . Stronger than originals but still very light weight .

£200 / 230 Euros

If any of you guys in Europe want them , I can bring some to EBI 4 . Just place your orders with a small paypal deposit , and pay the rest at EBI .

Thanks , Rob

Just for the record, that is not an EMPI hood.

It is true that technically speaking, this is an Ompee hood, but that doesn't make it any less cooler  Cool

Nice work, if it wouldn't be for the ridicule I'd get from my clubmembers (and the fact I'd need to pick it up in the UK) I'd fork out for one!

looks very nicely done. Do it have the original style bolt holes for mounting the bonnet springs underneath?

No they're just single skin , no reason why you can't cut the hinge panels out of an old bonnet and bond them in .
