Any experience with this set-up? I don't remember ever seeing a car or mag article on a car with such a set-up Huh
Thanks

The Holley Bugspray is not a progressive carb.

My mistake. I always thought the bugspray I put in my GTV was a progressive carb...

Back in the mid-1970s, we had a customer at Autocavan who fitted twin Bugsprays to his 69 x 88 motor in a Beetle. It ran OK, but suffered from flatspots and gave terrible fuel economy. He swapped them for dual 34ICT Webers and never looked back.

I bought a set of duals. They came on Race Trim manifolds. Both NOS. They came along with a used Berg linkage.
I would like to run an 'unusaul' set-up...Kind of 'Dare to be different!'
Fuel economy would not be my primary concern as it would be a week-end cruiser/warrior Tongue
Motor should be a 69x88(NOS set of c/p already in my possesion) or a 74x88 with a 110 cam. Heads? Depends if I go duals or single. I would like to try single ports.
I read that single set-up tends to ice up. But I should not drive the car too much in winter or damp conditions...mmmh I will  not drive it much then as I am living in Belgium Cheesy

I am more concern about flatspots during acceleration Angry What can be done o avoid that?
Thank you.
Xavier

PS: What about a single Solex 40PII? Yeah why not Grin
