Keith, let the others mock.......

Without you and some others the scene wouldn't  be what it is today, and with out the BOOK "bible" the lounge might not be here, having both fast company and Chris Jorys cars in my collection demonstrates that I'm glad the 90s were here as they are an important part of the story.

I'd only spotted the Top Gear clip on the other post yesterday, so posting again is probably a good thing for some of us that are a little slow.....I'm guessing Frank Page wasn't paid Jeremy Clarkson's mega salary?

It brought back memories of that first issue of Volksworld, Colins Burnhams Cal Look project car in Street Machine, Tim Sneller's Cal Look article in Street Machine (1981??), Gary Constable airbrushed T-shirts, and well thumbed copies of German Car Company and Autocavan catalogues.  Most of the magazines were sold to John Devereax for 10pounds (sorry now in NZ with no pound key on my computer) about 10 years ago....

Trying to bring a sensible end to this thread...I've just come across the Street Machine UK facebook page.  Some good Cal Look photos just been uploaded for anyone interested.  I've tried to find the Tim Sneller article on it but can't.  I began buying Street Machine at issue 1 and did so for about 9 1/2 years.  By that time I was also buying VolksWorld (also from issue 1....), was a poor student and could only afford one magazine a month...
