Fabian, was this car originally a Standard model? Not seeing the extra defrosters on the dash top. Plus, the fuel fill door has the Standard non-cable.

Make it runs like this and enjoy it  Wink

It will be more motivating to start with a rolling project if you plan to build it later.  Smiley

Plus, the fuel fill door has the Standard non-cable.

By '74 the fuel flap thumb recess had reappeared on all Beetles.

Hey Fabian!

I like your grey standard, but this one show us what you created before the "lounge".
Why not just freshen it up to it´s former daily status and keep it as that. Its "Speedwell´s" 90´s history and a part of European "callook" history. It´s your first try on "callook" and a really nice car. I would keep it as is for the future, just give it a little love and care and drive it as you did in the past.
It´s the "Arcivist history callook" Grin
