I'm finally getting around to fixing my front fender that got dented when a shelf broke dumping about 10 years of VW magazines onto the car.  My friend Dave Rosenstiel is going to do the work.  I took some photos of his work today when I dropped the fender off.

He is making a coupe out of a couple of car bodies and I think it is pretty cool.  The deck lid is hand made of many pieces and metal worked into shape.  He had the roof done,  but decided it would look better with an oval roof line so he grafted an oval windshield surround in but hasn't finished it yet.

And last but not least a view of his back yard and his hand built '37 Ford truck (I think its a '37 anyway).  He made the nose of the truck from some rear fenders off the same truck.  Just thought it was cool.

Yeah, it used to belong to his dad and the sold it back and forth a couple of times and when his dad passed away he vowed to never get rid of it.  His dad showed him how to do body work way back when...  The Ghis is nice with A brakes and all.  I think it has an old school 2180.  I believe it was featured in Hot VWs or Trends back in the '80s.

Well the title is "cool pics" and I can't think of to many things cooler than a VW toilet paper holder......With this and the current issue of Hot Vw's along it makes the trip to the bathroom a little more fun.

Cool! I have a black one like that, which was given to me by my mom 20+ years ago.

Dave, good job... I was wondering who was gonna be the one.
