1939 kdf sunroof sedan , not seen that pic before
Check out the door handle.  It doesn't have the indent for your fingers.  That makes it one of the early 1938 prototypes!

Actually, looking at the edges of the deck lid and bonnet it looks like it could well be.

I got the photo from the Bundesarchiv, which is kind of a state photo album run by the German government, from what I can gather on the website. Great for all kinds of interesting photos pf period (and modern) Germany.

Cool uncool picture from Porsche museum.. How do you price the door glass on Gmund Cabriolet? The female raised herself out of the car by hanging on the glass! What next, she sat on top of Speedster front fender while the rest of the posse were taking pictures..

Here is a cool pic I took at school. A Porsche 911 Gt3 out in the Norwegian snow. At my school we are fixing regular street cars, but we are fixing and learning about Race cars too. This car was at the school for a face lift after smashing in to a 911 Turbo at the last race in 2010. This is one of my favourite cars that I have been working on, but we have had a lot of other cool cars here too........ Grin

My Old Manx was on the VoWo stand at Bug Jam a few years ago (without the roof on) and I stood there as a guy lifted his 4yr old kid to STAND the drivers seat and then he stood there as the kid proceeded to walk all over the rest of the interior!!!!

The antenna is mounted to the front quarter.
I'm guessing by the lucas turn signals and the tall bumper guards without the supports, that it is a Euro model with semaphores that was somewhat converted to U.S. specs.
Although. most converted cars used turn signals that mounted to the bumper instead of cutting holes in the fender.

Or an early enough Oval not to have indicators? Anyway, the car could anything between 9-13 years old by the time of the photo so that can explain a lot of the details.

The horn would be behind the grille on the driver's side.

This is cool, what are the tire sizes on that one? Looks good and seems to be perfect for a road use.
