It's the Empi Vespa !
It was never fully completed and later sold.
It was then crashed by the new owner.

Nope, I did those about 2 years ago. I've done a few sets since then. Grin

I love it, especially the 'stock' look of the engine! Can you give us some specs about it?

I'm curious as to the color.  Is it a custom mix or something from a production car?  The rear shot with the deck lid open looks similar to my Butternut car done in 1971 Corvette Warbonnet Yellow.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments.  I just finished the car in June, the day before the VW Classic.

John, the color is from a 2010 Mustang GT (Sunset Gold)

As for the engine, it's an 1800cc (74 x 88)
DPR Crank, Eagle H-beam rods (5.452")
043 heads by Jeff Denham.  Engle K-8, Scat 1.4's,
6lb. Crown Aluminum flywheel.
40mm Weber DCNF's
Speedwell USA, Sebring style Porsche exhaust (Ray Shubert)

Great looking car and 'old speed' looking engine.  Like the decklid standoff.  Thinking about getting one for my '58; are you happy with it?
Thanks

Thanks for the info Dick.  I'll have to look more closely at Mustangs to see if I can find the color.  It looks very similar to my original Butternut color some 40 years ago and I haven't seen anything close to that except the photos of your car.  The one exception is a car in Europe that is a recent build which I guess you'd call a "Tribute" example to my car.  Here is the link that shows my car and the Tribute.  http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php/topic,15303.0.html
