1983/4 Ice Blue Metallic Special Edition “Winterbug” Mexican built 1200L Beetle. LHD.
Official Volkswagen import into the EU.
Original European spec.
Sold in 83/4 by main VW Dealership in Berlin.
Original German documents and logbook retained UK A520 GAL registered with V5c.

American specification rearlight units with divided red section ( so that compulsary rear fog light required in UK on a 1983 vehicle is hidden like on a contemporary vehicle within the standard rearlight cluster).
Eberspacher DL1C auxillary heater. 1.8KW of lovely heat! to heat interior of vehicle. Diesel fuel required so 1999 year model Beetle washer reservoir mounted on inner wing as fuel tank for heater. Very economical and warm. Thermostatic controller mounted near handbrake.

As you can see a lot of time and money has been spent on this car, the engineer has 2nd to none and its testament to its builder.

Parts that could do with attention
Small Paint scrape ( No rust )
Breather system could do with an update
Carb linkage could do with some adjustment

The price reflects the level of work and skill, along with the amount of quality parts used. Open to offers but this car is worth the asking considering the crap that is out there.
