Heard the Skinne beetle and turbotown guys are going to Kjula next weekend! So, I booked a (cheap last-minute) flight to Stockholm with a friend and we are going to witness these oversized turbos spool up Very curious how fast Skinne's oval will be now most hick-ups seem to be sorted... Don't worry, I bring my big lens for some photografic impressions Anyone else going? Walter

How cool is this! I look forward to meeting you Walter. Me, Trond, Jee, Dawn, Skinne, Thomas and Berger will be driving from Norway. Trond and Thomas will be driving 1100km one way to attend this race You will have plenty of time to talk to all of us and take as many pictures as you want. Well above 200 cars will be racing and you will see turbos wherever you look. It is my favourite ending of what have been a good season. Best rgs BB

Kjula was great! Not in the least because of the superfriendly welcome and relaxed attitute of our norwegian hosts. Big thanks for giving me and John such a good time. Despite the absolutely super nice weather (sunny all weekend), not many PB's were run. The track was very good and I think 2 or 3 gearboxes were offered to the gods of speed... The Skinne oval was very impressive to see in real live, but experienced some tuning problems and finally a fuel rail cracked and caused a small E85-fire in the back. Not much damage was done (was quickly put out), but race was over on saturday for them. The swedes from the 'Notchback racing' and the 1641 Ghia from Niklas did a few 9's, but no PB's IIRC. Here are some pics: some more pics to follow tonight

It was so good to finally meet you Walter! Thank you for everything. I just have to quote your sentence above since I see it a bit differently: all working cars managed new PB`s. Jee, Jørn with the ambulance, Trond, The rail, The super nice 67 of Servais, Dennis. Big congrats to all of them! I look forward to receiving the Christmas card from Trond this year. I have been waiting for it a long time. Best rgs BB

Oh, I happily stand corrected on the PB's then! I just didn't realize and maybe was too focussed on the Skinne beetle. Somehow, the second part of the weekend after the night before was a bit blurry to me

Thanks for the pics Walter, kind of surprised you enjoyed yourself up their, they are usually so anti social I am intrigued why the wing has reverted to a more normal style on the Skinne car, shame they had a problem and didn't get to see how well it worked cheers Richie

I agree with Richie! They are realy anti social.....especially if anyone show up without a car, and try to "blend in" by running around with a camcorder, washing windows, etc. (Totally bull sh#* from me ) You can not find nicer people! You feel welcome at once! Can really recommend others to do as "Airspeed" did! Take a flight to one of the meetings in scandinavia, and have a great time! Thanks for great pictures!!!

I can only agree with the above comments. We visited Kjula a couple of years ago and the people there were fantastic, hopefully we'll get back there next year. Maybe we can even get Puz to take his beetle there. Would there be a class for a 15 second (estimated) cal looker?

I'll give it a bash if there's space for the amateurs You need to be in my corner though Stretch!!! If my car runs a 17, that means it's good for 15 with a proper driver haha. Great pics from the Kjula meet, really enjoyed flicking thru them.
