Hey folks, we're busy making preparations for this years Cal Look Drag Day, and thought we would just give a bit of an update as to what's going on and where we're at...
We're having a change of venue this year, back to Santa Pod Raceway, and the dates to pen in your diaries are May 16th and 17th. Ticket booking will be via. Santa Pod, but details for this are not yet finalised, so watch this space.
It is once again being held on a Peak Performance weekend, which is a little more expensive to run on, but has the benefit of being on a fully prepped track (not RWYB standards), so if you are looking for a personal best or settle a score then this is the weekend to do it.

Some amazing cars have signed up to be along, and we hope to be welcoming along some amazing street cars and race cars. John Rathbone will be bringing his amazing race bug back out for the first time in many many years, and Richie Webb hopes to bring two of his cars along, his project ten NOS car, along with his unbelievable cabrio chassis car. With race cars from the Outlaw Flat Fours, the VWDRC and from our friends in Europe, and street cars the UK has to offer, along with support from the various top cal look and Hot VW clubs around (well... I am gonna plug the Rennwagens now aren't I?!!!), if you want to see a spectacle of flat hour horsepower this is it.

If you want to see what the Cal Look Drag Day is all about, take a look at Julian Hunt's gallery here:

Yes, but you didn't read the small print, like buy a new generator, get the van ready, fit the quad tow bar etc Wink

The Plymouth has no engine in at the minute , all my cars and the only complete ones are my wife's . Plus I got shit from DannyBoy for turning up to a Cal Look show in a non VW before !

Anyway lets see a pic of Ned Bug in your garage instead of mine !

We have just had ticket booking information confirmed for the Cal Look Drag Day,and we have managed to secure a great deal for a full weekends racing for folks on the best track in Europe. To take advantage of the deal racers will need to book their tickets via the online ticketshop www.eticketing.co.uk/santapodraceway
Once on the site, there are several ticket options.
We have negotiated a 20% discount on the two ticket options below
· RWYB Voucher and Wknd Admission RRP £45 Discount price £36
· Peak Performance Voucher RRP £50 Discount price £40
When you click ‘buy tickets’ they will need to select a quantity and then enter discount code DRAGCAL in the prompt box (booking fees and postage fees will still apply)
If you require just RWYB or Peak Perf spectator tickets, the discount will not apply.
We have also managed to arrange limited Friday night entry for racers - again if you wish to take advantage of this, you will need to order your tickets in advance as above, and contact us to confirm your entry requirements. Get booking, see you there!

Is entry per person or car?  can I drive/race 2 cars on my entry? specifically for the sunday?  and are we ok to get in Saturday if we are just running on sunday?

cheers Richie
