Le Mans Classic Trip-report

Hello guys...

Just wanted to share some pictures of my latest trip....to the Le Mans Classic 24h that took place 7-9. of July.
4 norwegians was seated on the plane to Paris Thursday 6th July...Pre-Cal,my self,and a couple of friends.
Ever since i heard that the event was on i was determant that i had to go there....since i am a man with a sick Porsche 917-fetish and what better place to see a 917 flat out than on the Le Mans circuit.
And the racing was going the full 24h...day and night.The weekend was a blast with cars ranging from 700ccm Dyna Panhards to AC cobras,GT40's and many many more rare beasts...and yeahhh....three 917's.....904's, 906's,910's,718's,550's....and so on.
I have seen 917 and most of the other cars in action before, but seeing and HEARING them on the LM was a strong emotional moment for a slightly drunk Sodd-man....

And the cars were really driven as they were ment to be....HARD!

In 2 years time the event is on again, i can truly recomend it for any petrolhead.

This is one of the fastest places on the track...the Mulsanne straight...it was said that the fastest cars did 300-350 kmh there.
The 917 did 396 kmh there in 1971...with a average speed of 244kmh....
It was not aloud to be where i filmed that clip, the safety staff was not happy to find us there
