I remember that car being featured too, and it was very inspirational. Loved the interior and the fact it could lift the front wheels and I can recall thinking how cool it would be to have one hot engine, let alone two. As for the interior in Sonja Boswick's Black '67 - it never meant anything to me. Although what that has to do with anything, I dunno?

Interesting. The license plate suggests that this was one of the very first '67 Beetles to be registered in California. If, in fact, those are the original plates to the car. Forgive me, I've been a license plate fanatic since I was in first grade (1968).
Carry on.

I'd venture to say this car was cooler than Berglar.

what's the big deal? This car isn't laden down with heaters, water squirters, and the 7.5:1 motor. This car has everythign needed to kick ass and nothing more. Plus it's a '67 that somebody was kind enough to leave the chrome on.

We're just pulling your GB 227. Funny, but it's downright pathetic that I knew what it was without consulting a Berg catalog.

I would concur. It is so clean and simple, not an over done Prima Donna like alot of the cars lately.
