I bought my wrinkle finish spray can from my lokal Harley Davidson dealer. Don`t get surprised if it doesn`t work right away. Wait about 24 hours before the wrinkle treatment is done after the spray

I just use Krylon wrinkle finish black for my Race-Trim/Treuhaft stuff. It comes out nice. I have yet to find out how it holds up to heat though.

here is the tip with wrinkle paint

spray the part heavy but no so heavy that it runs
wait about 1-2 minutes max and spray another (2nd) coat
the heavier the 2nd coat the more wrinkle you will get

Wow, that’s a good looking engine, I really like how low those IDAs sit! Modified or "of the shelf" intake manifolds?
I can't get really short intakes for my CE heads, so I'm cutting them down. How does it change the engine characteristics?

Heres another tip if you want it to come out even say if you doing a big part I use a Hair Dryer to warm up the Part First then Spray a Heavy even Coat of paint wait  1 or 2 minutes then Spray it again the more paint you put on the heavier the wrinkle after paint has set about 20 mins on the part I go over it again with hair dryer it will start wrinkling and you can see if you need to recoat any flat or thin spots When I worked at Auto Haus They had a Building used just for packaging Auto Haus,Race Trim and Auto Gear Products they use to Spray all the Race Trim Stuff and then they Baked it in an oven in the Later years of Auto Haus they Stopped Painting all the Race Trim  Parts Manifolds,Valve Covers,Breather Boxes,Sump were all Sold and Packaged Bare.

Here's a couple of shots...  The first is my 2332cc in my old bug and the second is my "street" engine (2054cc) in my Ghia.

No, can't say that's ever happened.  I did replace the cap the breather came with for one I picked up at Pep Boys (the one in the picture) and it's a tight fit.

Ah! thanks. Do you know what the cap was from so that I can try and get one from them?

Hmmm...no clue.  I've had that for a couple of years.  As I recall, I just looked in the "chrome dress-up" dept and there it wuz!

My 2.8 liter type 1, 286 hp pump gas street engine.
Sorry for the bad quality, it's a cell phone camera and it is indoors in my dark garage without a flash.
