I was thinking about this as well... it should work as the autometer tach is a tach, just like a VDO or any other... curious to see who have done it before. sure will look good with a mag. ;)

Hi Frenchy. I have a VDO tach like yours but 8000 rpm and on the back it is switchable between 2,4,6 and 8 cylinders. I found that using it with my magneto it read at half the rpm that it should so I switched it to the 2 cylinder setting and it reads correct. It’s a little jumpy but the right rpm
