Deep sump tube

Hi all,

I have a 1.5 litre deep sump without a pick up tube extension piece. Anyone have any spares they would part with?

I fitted one but didn't fill me with confidence at all so binned it and fitted the cut to length pickup.
Sorry that doesn't really help, but it's a way better solution than a jubilee clip and a bit of sloppy pipe.

I know what you are saying, but the sump is going on an already assembled engine.

Make your own. Find a tube that’s a bit tight. Hone it out and either weld (TIG) or clamp in with cylinder loctite

My brother lost a really nice 1641 when the pipe came off and starved the engine. We've welded every one that we've done since then.
I wonder if it would work to make the pipe longer, so it almost butts up against the sump plate, then drill some decent sized holes in the side of the tube at the bottom to get the oil in?
