well it is not a 1200, but it kinda feels the same as it was a 1641 in a type3... Grin
for me it went just a little different. i allready built a 'better engine' a while back and have had great fun with it, but now i think i will step up to a whole new game with the 2007cc. but like you i am not there yet and there are still some major decisions to make and a lot of work to do.

have funbuilding yours

I have been dreaming about a 2 liter IDA motor for years. Finally starting to put all the pieces together. I can't wait. Then I am going hunting for American muscle cars.

Same here.  I have a large amount of the parts for my 2110 in the attic.  Case, heads, carbs, cam, gears, p&c's, lifters, rods, and probably some other bits.

The worst part is that some of my nearby friends have gotten really hot street cars together in the past year.  AUUUGH.  I can barely stand it.

I've been working for 5 years now on my car (not all the time of course) and now he is almost ready to hit the streets, first I have to go the MOT and I hope they won't make a big fuss about some "not street legal parts here in Belgium" ...  Grin  If everything works well I will go to the MOt next week.

Next step is to finish the car in details, get an insurance and hope it's ready for next spring.  I wil testdrive it during the winter if the weather is ok.    As soon it's good weather next year I'm going to hunt down some ricers, not many V8's around here...

I'm dreaming the last couple of years how it will be driving the car.  I never drove a bug, not even a 1200  Grin  My other cars were all diesel low hp cars, So I thing it will be scary...
I hope everything goes well!  Cheesy
