FOR SALE: Purpose built street car

[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I built this car almost 15 years ago, and ran 8.88sec at over 250km/h, 5.68sec at over 200km/h in 1/8 mile 10 years ago. Since then my interest has been lame and lately it has not been out much, so maybe someone else could have fun with it?

Since the build thread ('A purpose built street car') I have upgraded to a new Mendeola -2D to replace the old MD-4, upgraded the turbo from a very old GT4294R to a new GTX4508R with Tial V-band housing, upgraded the IC to a custom W2A with Garrett 1000hp core, built a new custom plenum, upgraded steering to a rack&pinion etc.

Currently it makes over 660hp / 6600rpm & over 800Nm / 5400rpm with only 1.30bar boost! Before the upgrades I ran 1.7bar boost to make the same power.  This is enough to run a high 8 at over 250km/h. Injectors are at 60% DC, and the turbo is capable of a lot more, so I would say low 8s are at sight, but a 7 is a stretch unless clutchless shifting is implemented. Please note that the engine does not have modular cylinders, so it most likely would not handle 3+bar boost & 1000++ hp.

Price guidance 70.000€ turnkey with Finnish VIN, papers and plates (street legal with turbo, ladder bars, roll cage etc). Even though it has some lights and a horn, it will not pass annual street car inspection ever again.
Today it would cost over 100.000€ to duplicate, even if you’d do all the work yourself.

May separate if there is a buyer for a roller, the engine package and the transmission package at the same time.

Along with the ‘53, I can also sell my black 2018 aluminum 3S trailer with lots of options and some custom touches to make it real nice for the '53. 5000mm x 2000mm, 800kg/2500kg, can be raised to 2700kg. Hydraulic lift for very low cars, electric winch with remote etc. Always stored in warm&dry, ‘as good as new’ (which would cost 258.000SEK). Asking 15.000€, but only if the ’53 sells.

Specs of the ‘53:
RLR SFI 7.50sec CrMo chassis, funny-car cage, 34" ladder bars
“Eternal 7.50sec certification”
RLR CrMo wheeliebars
Narrowed steel front beam
Steering rack VW Polo
Dropped spindles
Geers brakes front and rear, upgraded rear calipers and big spline hubs, 5/8” studs rear, ½” front
Strange coil-overs 2-way adjustable (RLR spec), 3 sets of springs
Strange front shocks 2-way adjustable, custom valved
Vertigate shifter
Custom fuel & water cell
Aeromotive huge fuel pump, regulator, billet pre- and post-filters, -8AN S/S hoses

Tilton pedals
12V to 15V trick system
Working headlights, rear lights and horn
Kirkey 15" seat, co-driver's seat is fake
Stroud chute (fresh)
Fire suppression system, SFI approved, it has ran out of cert
Custom 3-piece 'fuchs' wheels, billet centers, new 9x29x15 slicks, front runners
Fresh 275-60-15 tires on steel wheels for dyno runs, 125-90-15 front tires on BMW steel wheels for storage

3/1953 oval window body - very early oval, one of the very first, some one-year only stuff
Ribbed doors
Original front fenders (1960s?), repro rears
Deck lid with convertible style openings
H-pattern apron
Front stretched 35mm; very nice and tricky, nobody will notice
Rear fenders raised 65mm
Sahara beige paintjob
Repro chrome, rebuilt headlights, repro window rubbers & chrome, repro door handles etc
Lexan windows, front window is glass
Car looks good from 2-3 meters, but a closer look reveals flaws with the paint, uneven door gaps etc.
