Even without the history, it's still a RHD '53 oval, so nice to see it saved. What are the plans then Russell - rebuild it to as it was, or do your own thing?

looks like it failed the MOT had a couple of owners got stripped to repaint, found a lot of bondo, lost interest, parked outside and left to rot (stupid bastards !)

BUT NOW..... it will be restored to how it was in 87, even thought a rhd 53 oval is pretty rare anyway.

If you're doing it exactly as it was, do you wanna sell that steering wheel for a cheap price?  Wink

good to see this car being rebuilt, my ex-wife used to own this beauty, in fact it's how i first met her, had to rebuild the front king pins for the mot back in the winter of 1989, got two great kids out of the deal though!! Was a really nice car to drive, any chance of a go when it's rebuilt for old times sake?

Andy, no problem.

Hope the kids were'nt made in the car, but it would explain the roof dents Huh

no, the kids weren't created in the car, they came long after the oval was passed on to steve walker, any dents in the roof are probably down to his sordid nocturnal activity!

good luck with the project, looks like a lot of work to do before the volksworld show,

Just been looking through some Youtube favourites and saw the oval here:

(the video has been posted on here before I think)
