My first "looker" had buggy bumpers. They are way cool, and way "old school cal-look". I didn't have digi back then, but will try to post....

My guess would be that they mount to the front beam and the rear frame horns?

i had a front set on my cal look car in around 1988, they mounted on the 4 front beam mounting bolts ( i'm pretty sure?)

i think the rear ones just mount to the stock bumper hangers.

i'll be putting just a rear one on my '64 gasser, eventually. Wink

Back in '79 I made some mounts out of flat steel (damn, should have used aluminum) and used plumbers tape to make a secure rear mount (kinda like a custom hose clamp)....I'm sure everybody today has CNC and aluminum fabrication abilities. THEY STILL LOOK TOUGH!

You probably use the same ones I used on my Manx, The front one simple has 2 tabs that are welded to the beam and then the bar is bolted to these and the rear is one is from Mark at Flatlands Engineering and is a proper bit of kit - it mounts to the frame horns and the craddle under the box which I think would be alot better than mounting it to the body/bumper mounts

I will post some pic's of all the mounts soon  Smiley

i welded 2 tabs to the beam and welded nuts inside the ends of the tubes and bolted it on

LOL is that Don Metz?  LMAO

The Front Buggy Bumper will will not work on an Bug you have to use two rears  they were mounted back in the day by making 1 inch wide steel straps witch bolted to the inner front wheel well and the the strap was wrapped around the tube and welded to the buggy Bumper on the rear the straps bolted to the bumper bracket holes and was wraped and welded like the front also the rear buggy bumper was heated at the bends and bent up closer to the  rear of the car instead of sticking out so far plus by bending it cleared the QP muffler and the fender since it has to be fished up in there see picture below
