Driving Hot VWs for 44 Years Strong!

Hey Frenchy,

I found some shots I took of your old 67 GHIA at the bug in.  I don't think the lady in the pictures is Judy....hee, hee...It was a long time ago.  Thought you'd like seeing the shots. It was the typical Orange County Raceway morning with the overcast and damp air. Turned out being a pretty good day for you!

The lady in the picture was Geno Combs Aunt's I was dating at the time . Geno use to own the Tasmanian Devil painting on the rear deck lid of his 69 Cal Looker ( Baby blue ). A few years later I met Judy and the rest is history. All of you guys are teasing me with the picture of the Ghia soon I will be starting on this project as Judy told me she is waiting patiently for me to bring the car home from storage.

Thanks for posting this one Rick

I sold those original EMPI 8 spokes to Geno for $200.00 soon after he had finished his car. I use to work for Les Purnells in Artesia Calif and Les had those wheels hidden in the attic of his shop. And after this Geno build his NOTCHBACK with Porsche alloys.

    Thanks
