Well, no pics sorry....
Yesterday, once I got home from Pismo Beach, I rolled my '67 out into the sunshine and gave it a good bath, and put new BRM caps on. Note even a fraction of the fun of going to Bug In I'm sure, but weather was perfect, music was good and beer was cold.

After a day spend in my garden on saturday I pulled my bug out of the garage on sunday, cleaned it, filled her up and started a cruise to the local vw shop for my first checkup.  But I didn't made it, my dynamo bearings gave up  Angry  My mistake...  the belt was to tight...  Fortunatly Steve came to the rescue and helped my sorry ass out!  thx!

This week my car will get some dyno time for the last finetuning on the IDA's...  I'm curious.  Grin  I'm sure Steve's heads will do fine and make alot of HP!  fingers crossed.

Well I took my old 1959 Volkswagen out for a ride here in Vimmerby. As it is pretty close to Fullerton I did not do any burn-outs (the man in Fullerton is hard on exhibition of speed) so I more or less drove it to get it warm and enjoyed the sun. After a short tour round the block I took home and started to polish the wheels , Fuchs if you ask....so half of my car is done and I still enjoy the bottle of car care products I won i the Cal-look dot com Top 20 list..........that was way back!! Cool

a mate of mine has just passed his helicopter pilots licence, so he flew over to my in-laws farm, landed in the field and we went for a cruise around in it for an hour or so.......awesome!

I wish I could have been at bug-in 33 but could not go this year because I am in school and need to focus so that I can move to San Luis Obispo in the fall. I did go to the local horse racetrack ,with a group of friends, on friday night though. $2 beers, $1 hotdogs, and AC/DSHE a KILLER all-girl AC/DC cover band. They rock!!

Did the racetrack have the same lack of organization and entrance problem like two years ago Huh

I wanted go to the Bug In pretty badly as well, but with taxes and the eminent purchase of an engagement ring, in wasn't in the budget this spring. I spent most of my weekend doing yardwork (ugh), but the weather was nice so I did manage to get my drive both my Bug and my Camaro a bucnh this weekend so it wasn't a total loss. If they have Bug In again next year I'm going. That's all there is to it.  Smiley

Got pulled over by the cops when i went to the bakery on sunday..Smiley
i saw the swan standing next to his bike and knew he would stop me...
whats wrong officer? ,i asked
i thought my bug would look a bit different without bumpers but what do you do then with the license plate?
i taped it on the right visor (well in sight) but he told me the plate should be in the front. i told him my bumpers are away for chroming Smiley
I got away with a warning Smiley he gave me two weeks to change it
damn pitty, i liked my car without bumpers
