I am bringing a scrapbook belonging to one of the earliest DKP I members full of dash plaques and even an original DKP 1 jacket patch.
Looking forward to seeing that SB and meeting Russel too.

For the Berg Rally.
For the toy show.

No Classic for me... I just wrapped up the best "local" show here in Oregon, the Woodburn Bug Run. The rumor I heard was somehwere in the neighborhood of 150 plus show cars, no idea how many race cars (a lot, they had to actually run two sportsman classes this year) and a vast swap meet. I attended this show thinking I would have a nice, leisurely event to pace myself at after the Bug In 33 experience, but man, I am beat! The Woodburn, Oregon U.S.A. event is continually getting to be the place to be VW-wise in Oregon. It was definitely worth the hundreds of miles traveled from rural Lakeview to make it once again!

Russell,
I am glad someone is going to bring it back to what it used to be. The car originally had different wheels too. Dave and Dyno can get it done,..it's only two fenders, two quarters, two doors, one hood, and one cowl to paint, and the base is already mostly red.
I looked seriously at that car when it recently came up for sale. I have always had soft spot for that car. One of the reasons I chopped my first bug. The other T3 I was looking at was the raspberry Notch Automatic from many years ago. Good luck it is going to be in good hands.

Well, I was planning on bringing myself but its just not going to happen this year. I just bought a house and have a LOT of work to do and need to spend some time with the family not to mention the cost of the trip is just a bit too much right now. So I am really sorry to those I may of pissed off with this decision but hopefully they will understand.

Russell,
It is understandable that you are upset, you have every right to be. However, are you certain that it was an AMERICAN, not an illegal bordercrosser that
"no si habla English"
. Or perhaps it may have been a drunken Limey? Food for thought.
Enjoy your visit to the United States Of America.
