I have had several styles over the years, chromies, wide five cresents, 14" fuchs from a 912, 15" fuchs from a 911, and now wide five repo sprint stars. I seem to prefer the wide five rims these days but enjoy all styles. The pic is my 58 euro rag with wide five sprint stars. Larry

This is the last set, I think, that I need to complete for now. One wheel would be nice so I can get the pan finished.

The classic Porsche OILloy. Not anodized, not polished, not chrome; this is the used 10W-40 finish. I gotta ask Mike - park too close to a PH-1 on a cold day??

Nope Tom, slid the oil pan under the car for "safe" keeping until I empty my waste jug, and forgot it was there until after I backed out of the garage. The tip-off was the oily track down the alley. Thanks for noticing, though. I was worried I wouldn't get to make a public arse of myself!

The oil on the wheel reminded me of a incident with my bug. I was working on my bug one day and I took it off the jackstands, when I jumped in and started it and put it in reverse the car wouldn't move, well....I always seem to forget the piece of 2x4 behind the front tire so I just goosed it to get over it. Just as I goosed it my neighbors cat screamed and took off across the yard, just then I realized it wasn't a 2x4 this time but the cat laying behind the tire. It disappeared for a week or so and I thought maybe it died but it showed up all skinny. I am glad to report it made a full recovery no thanks to me. Larry

i've never heard of it, though that doesn't mean all that much. they're quite spendy and scarce. as they're proper race wheels they're even lighter than a deep 6, too! i have seen a photo of 7" on a red norwegian Karmann Ghia. i think the owner's name is morten.

any pics of that one? no-one else? i'd have thought a 4.5/7R combo would be right up there in the coolness ratings.
