in the old VW Beetle Custom Handbook (my first VW book by the way), there's a small detail picture of a red BRM, do you know/remember which car was that one?

No, but I think the DKK guys will know. The photo was taken at the 1988 VW Jamboree in OC.

cool car, it's true, you don't see many red brm cars...in my opinion they look better than in grey.
it's a pity there wasn't a full pic of the car in the book, btw doesn't the front bumper look funny?
