Anybody has infos about this photo Huh It seems that she was taken in a commercial gallery 
it's the only pictures i know of a gtv with a  checkerboard roof

not that pic, but interesting story my dad told me Sunday night...

In the late 1960's, just before I was born, he and my mom were visiting Southland Mall, in Hayward, CA (Northern Calif) and within the mall, was an EMPI display on the floor, with about 7 cars lined up "dressed up" and equipped with various EMPI parts. He said there was at least two Karmann Ghias in the lineup. He thinks it was somehow connected to the VW dealer nearby, Humphrey Motors.
At the time my parents had a brand new dark green 1969 Fastback, ordered through Johnson Pacific VW in Pleasanton. That's the car I came home from hospital in.

Do you remember the end of Indiana Jones - Raiders Of The Lost Ark ? The ending scene was filmed in his documentation's wharehouse. Fabs, is it you that played the guy that push the box ? Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin
