very interesting thinking in that era when you look at engine setups. Very long duration cams in a lot of those hp setups, even the smaller displacement. 1700cc running 300-10 degrees. Sounds fun.
seems recipe was raise compression to the sky, moderate-small ports, and lots and lots of duration. Of course, add 48IDAs.
Wish I had an extra case laying around.

I noticed the IDA jetting theme is also of the old guard...  look @ air corrector jets... 160 or smaller. Nobody jets carbs like this nowadays (that I know of). Has the change in thinking happened because of fuel changing? Is today's race gas different from yesterday's race gas? SG or what?
