Not content with standing around at Nick's talking and tire kicking, some of us took it upon ourselves to take a Saturday spin to the beach yesterday.  Steph, Ratto, The Cape, Dustin, ScottP, Henry and yours truly jumped in our cars and headed south on interstate 5 to Laguna Canyon road before heading north on Pacific Coast Highway.  As you can see, it was a beautiful day with Spring right around the corner.  We were just getting ready to take the Balboa Ferry across Newport Bay when Henry shot an exhaust gasket out of number two cylinder Angry.  We limped it over to Cappy's and had some eats and drinks to allow things to cool a bit before Ratto pulled out his "roll-away full of tools" to give Henry a chance to tighten things up.  Is there any one else here who carries all their jets around with them Roll Eyes Grin??  Then it was up Beach Blvd for stops at V-Dub parts, Denham's, a quick chat with Richie Webb, and a few beers at Greg Brinton's new shop.  Greg was just putting the finishing touches on Brian Plummer's rig.  We had a great time blasting around! Cool Cool Cool

Looks like a great day!  And you're right, cruising around is better than hanging out in a parking lot.  Usually.

Makes the snow we got this morning even better...   Angry

WOW!!

Well my Saturday was a little less eventfull but I had a good time too....
Some friends had been talking about a cruise to cars and coffe for some months but at the last minute were unable to do it. I decided to make a go of it anyway and my son and I left for Irvine at 5a.m. We met with Ben Salazar and we checked out the scene for a few hours before a nice but much more LONELY cruise home.

I thought this was Carlos' car but I guess he was cruising O.C.

two lone wolves....

how's this for a street car...

My son diggin the hot cocoa the wagon and the dog...

This AMC cobra was unreal raw brushed aluminum body....

One for the road...

and the lonely cruise home...

Good times.
