1958 Fiat 600 D Ex Jeff Denham
No Motor No Gearbox

Unfortunately times have changed in the UK and I need to get on the property ladder which means me doing the one thing I really don’t want to do as I am so near to having this car finished but I suppose we all have to do something we don’t want to do at some point.

So I bought the car from Jeff early this year and got straight to work on her, the floors were completely shot so in went two genuine fiat floor pans plus having the inside of the car prepped for paint.

The car then went of to Jim at Cotswelds for a full MSA mild steel cage (no need to worry about weight with this car 585 kg (1290 lb) before the cage) which included seat mounts harness mounts and full gearbox and motor mounts. A work of art and Jim really is a cool guy so it was a pleasure dealing with him. The custom window net and Jaz seat fit is perfect

Back to the painters for full satin black inside which really looks the part, and a tidy up of the engine bay really looks good

Spec of the car
Fiat 600 D 1958
850 Spider front disc
Custom short IRS axles and CV joints
Spun ally fuel tank
Holly Red fuel pump and A/Q lines
Jaz seat
Vw rear setup Type 1 drums
Tiny Custom Berg Shifter
Spare Turbo scoop deck lid
Motor support bar
Abarth Style deck lid prop (very cool)
Full MSA Cage with motor and gearbox mounts
Lots of little bits that are hard to find which I have spent hours on the phone getting like pedal rubbers and a Colum switch etc
15x5.5 type rear wheels shod with 195 tyres

So really put an IRS gearbox and a motor in and away you go, the electrics all work the brakes work so a couple of weekends and you a scary road car or a fast drag car. I have put double the amount that I am asking for this car and whoever buys this will get a really cool car. £5000 can be delivered to VolksWorld or be seen as I am 5 mins away from the show

New photos coming tonight and more information as I go through things

You're right in saying that at some point in your life you have to do things you'd rather nt do. But wouldn't you rather want to bend over and take it in the back  Angry

You'll beat yourself up later if you sell the car. If I could I'd buy it without thinking it over and will talk about it overhere, someone might be interested (who wouldn't be  Wink)

That is one cool little car you have there.  Cool

Purely out of curiosity  Embarrassed, is it driveable with the decklid shut, or would you run the risk of overheating?
