I´m interested to know the story behind The Cal-Look Lounge. Who is the creator and how long has the Lounge been on the web, and so on.... If there is already a topic on this, please show it to me.

True.. so true! History in the making
I will let JHU or Trond tell the story. But I do suspect it started due to a above average interest over a certain car and a certain look.

The story is a simple one, I had this idea for a forum for all those who liked cal-look in Scandinavia. But it needed to be English based so that we could understand each other. It was just meant to keep all us that meets at SCC every year in touch thru the winter months.
I remember talking to "SplitMan" about a appropriate name for the place, that would lay the foundation for the ambiance... "the Lounge" fitted the bill perfectly. At the same time I hooked up with my good friend and computer wiz Trond "Fatbeat" Dahl about my thoughts... and within a few hours the lounge was born... after a few well directed nudges/mails to Fabian "Speedwell, Lee "monkey" and our main man Kobus "EBI" Cantraine the Lounge was soon a place to reckoned with... at least on the European radar... but going form that to suddenly having ALL the "old" hero's on here... that's just insane...
best regards
Jon

I remember looking at it really early on and thinking that it was mad that a Norwegian Cal Look site could exist (I didn't really know that Scandinavia had that much of a Cal Look scene!), then promptly forgot to bookmark it and didn't look again until just after the first EBI!
I do seem to spend quite a bit of time on here, so as the others have said, thanks to all the guys behind the scenes keeping this place going.

It' definitely fun to see the Lounge growing. Still can remember my firt log in March 07, 2006, 20:45:10 PM. At that time it was just full of Scandinaviens.
Thanks guys for this wonderful place.
Cheers,
Georg
