Keith, I just read you article "Late in the day" in UltraVW. BRAVO!! I hope it makes an impact, as good late-model lookers are thin on the ground!!
Loved the "super-dumper" picture, but it looks way darker than other pictures I have seen of it? Was it repainted?

Now live as you learn, build a late-model  Grin

Keith has always loved a late model!
He did an orange 70-something Fastback in the 80's and shaved the bumpers off it.
Looked just like a lifeboat... Until he painted graphics on it. Then it became Fast Company, I think.
Personally I'm not a fan of Type 3s without bumpers I prefer a late model as it is. To me, without bumpers, they look a bit like the automotive equivelant of a cousin dater.

Still - bumpers or not - it was the best late model Type 3 around, well, except for the Hampshire Hog which I always loved.

I'm looking to stray from the air-cooled world on the next project !  Currently searching for a '62 Impala wagon - for the next Resto-Mod candidate!  Crossing over to the dark side (just for a while!  Wink)

Is that Art's wagon? Very cool. If you get a '62, you gonna paint that one primer grey, too? Grin

I had an original paint 66 Bel Air wagon in 95, with a brodix headed 406.  Thing ran 13.00's @ 110mph on radials, and had lots more potential.  4.10's are no fun without an overdrive trans for roadtrips.

SHIT, SHIT...SHIT....I jusr realized that U are Keith Seume....and stupid me tellin`you to make a cal-look-a-like of yourself....or who might be better to make a look-a-like than yourself...?

I`m not sure who U are, or how you look.....but why just do the "CAR-THING"....don`t we amire the people as much as they cars...?
Why do another gasser-copy-spin-off-kind-a-car....why not do a makeover on the person.....just become a cal-look-a-like.....everybody can do a roof-chop.....it takes a man to have a nose-job.....

I picture you a tall, dark man....maybe you should go for a Darrel Vittone-look, lets say 1974....ish...
...or maybe a bucket of grease will make your hear look like the one that Lee Leighton had....if you are some kind of sqitzo.....maybe a look-a-like of the Schley Brothers could be something.

Ofcourse you should do it properly and also build a cal-look-a-like car too....

Or grow some decent beard and maybe a ponytail…and just look like the main man Keith Seume….he would probarbly come up with something that nobody had ever thought about….that`s car-wise…..

Good luck anyway……
