Post your internet burnout shots. Check this one out. It is me in my 67 bug doing a 2nd gear burnout with the gas pedal pegged on my MSD 7000rpm rev limiter. It is on the Ocean Street Vidoe Download section. The link to it is below. Rick M http://www.oceanstreetvideo.com/

cool. good to know bald people don't need to wear helmets as well. i'll put that in the weight saving tread. btw do you have any benefit from doing a burnout before a dragrace with streettyres? 'cause i assumed that the tyres wont heat up enough to get mellower or benefit from it because they don't have the 'bite' like slicks do.

doing a burnout with street tyres actually slows you down. Water gets into the tread, then you bring it forward to the line. Then you slow down all the other cars.

Not the sort of behavior i would endorse on the street got line lock plumbed up on my car but untill I sort out my slicks I won't be using it

Hey Alfie,
KILLER BURNOUT MAN! Burnouts in a street car are just for fun and crowd pleasers anyway. Alfie's is one of the best I've seen in a long time!

Burnouts made no difference to my times at all. But it looks good And the big one at the top was on an industrial estate (private property), on a very cold sunday for a photoshoot with no people around other than JG54 guys to run over

I wish Flenne would come out of the bush and show a couple of his versions. He does a MEAN burnout! And he has the power to play with the rpm during it. and skinny tyres are for p...., - well you know who T

Sorry, this is the closest I could come up with on short notice! BUT! I do remember the OceanStreetVideo contest back when ... we had a lot of fun making that video ... check my avatar! I remember teasing with Mr. Mortensen after posting about who was the clear winner ... remember Rick? Well, I guess after all this time I might give him the edge since his was more spontaneous and in-the-moment, but for pure smoke and raw sound ... We may need to have another contest! If you look real close, it's kicking up a few blades of grass.

Rick, I'm on the same timeline with my next combination. If I get it going sooner, I'll post something. Otherwise, I'll look forward to the NEXT burnout contest! LMAO! Keep in touch and Take care. Tom Funnell

Wow! I'd like to do that in the next race I join to scare the bejeesus out of the competition - rarely do they see a beetle race here let alone do a burnout like that...
