Have fun!!

« on: January 10, 2007, 21:21:59 pm »

Back in my youth I was planning, dreaming and, I have to admint, taking the talk but not walking the walk!!! So I got in to cars for real. It was a VW for me, a growing boy turning in to man.........................So my dream went thru, I got my car rolling. Way back in 1978..............I sort of refined the hobby over the years, you know the punk style of living a hard core car life.............I then got serious and put my car on a trailer, towing it around the world 3 times and pretending it was fun....................So I got to an other turning point when made redundent......I got back to school and studied engieering........and still street raced...........................Then I got 2 kids (out of nowhere) and adopted my car to the new way of life by taking the nitrous of it...................................So years later I still have my car.

I remember a work mate, he was thinking while smoking and I asked "waz up" and he replies "hes last kid has moved out and no he and the missy was all alone" and he was thinking "what shall we do now!!".....I quickly replied "all you did when you met and was young....just slower"" Isn't that what Cal-look is, being an adult!!!

So are there anymore of you that has been hanging out with the guys late night, harresed the police and V8 owners, acted like there were no tomorrow negosiationg races on public roads, have lost the interest in the hobby but now wanats to do it again??
Maybe it is time for some sheep thrills for some!!!! Cool

The weekend ( Sat ) before Christmas , I'm on the phone to Tim C , and I hear what can only be described as  3" muffler noise , going up the Dual carriageway , a half mile away . I say to Tim c , that has to be Neal in The Black Bomber !

10 Mins later , the noise gets louder and louder , and into the courtyard he roars !

How's that for getting your car out  Wink

To quote Adam Wise; 'The raison d'etre of a California Look VW is to be driven, and driven as hard as possible as often as possible.'

Actually he didn't say that at all;)

I just did!

I think he actually said...
'I'm not sure which one is my garage, it's been two years since I last took the car out to take it somehwere on a trailer.'
In the end he asked Harrison Ford if he'd be able to find it for him, or so I heard.
