Don't know if these fit the period look that you're after, but check out Glenn's filters. Get a hold of him either here or on the Samba.

Also, Dustin from D.K.P. has some screens on his IDAs. Don't know if they include filtration or not, though. Good luck with your search... hope that you find them.

check this out: http://www.dellorto.co.uk/merchandise/products_details.asp?PartNo=RF648S&CategoryID=16&PartsectionID=65

I purchased some jet stacks for my 48DRLAs, Carbtune and dellorto book from them and the shopping was pretty straightforward.

Thanks Fred, Mine are just screens. Three layers with the middle layer being extremely fine. Got them from Dave at Proformance.

I drive my car every day and wanted something for "piece of mind"... (didn't work!) Grin

Someone has some suggestion?

No he's talking about his "piece of mind" by running them. They should work just fine. You see, Dustin has his in mind in pieces rather.

Thanks, Dustin... I was looking around for a pic of your engine. By the by... I really dig the way it looks, too. Meant to tell ya that when we were at Cars & Coffee, the other day.

Jason got it right! I'm still searching for "piece of mind"!!

The screens do a great job of keeping big stuff out of the motor on a dialy basis.

I don't notice any "seat of the pants" performance change with them on. I remove them while doing jetting changes and it runs the same both ways.

Thanks Jason and Mark for understanding my twisted humor!!

And Mark, I don't think we said two words all weekend! What did I spy on top of your carbs last weekend?

Yeah, we just don't talk. What are you referring to on my carbs? Nothing new there... just the same boring K&N black filters.

Gene Berg wants to have K&N make a run of these filters to fit the GB velocity stacks (if they get enough takers).

I was searching through K&N's website to try and find a cone shaped open top filter that would clamp over the outside diameter of standard IDA velocity stacks but didn't find one.  Does anyone know if there is an individual  K&N filter that fits a standard IDA velocity stack?  I have tall Berg IDA manifolds and would really rather not use a foam element type filter (God forbid if the engine backfired through the carburetor).  I also saw what the Berg's are trying to do but that filter will only match the Berg's velocity stacks right?  Thanks.
