All we have to do is have a look at the Crail thrash website and arrange to meet at a certain date.
I have been in contact with a guy from the North of England he and his mates are keen to come up and fry some rice. Grin

It won't be a VW meet but we need to start making the infidels realise there is life in these old pesky V-dubs Smiley

Found this thread lurking and though it would be interesting to see what's changed in the last 4 years (almost)

So we know that we still have:
  • Russell
  • Peter - Flatfire
  • Donald - DTH
  • Colin

I'm a recent addition, my DTH built '67 has been on the road for about a year now.

Do we have anymore?  Let's gather up members for this hotly anticipated 2011 Crail Thrash :-)

Problem is, most people don't want to admit to it publicly… Cheesy

Another member from Scotland checking in.... I'm Nick and live in Shetland. I've had VW's for about 25 years, and currently have a couple of early bays and a 72 1200 blade bumpered base model beetle. I'm gathering parts for a winter rebuild for the bug; currently I have a Porsche 5 speed box, a pair of ported 311 heads, twin 40 DRLAs, a counterweighted 69mm crank and a set of 1835 b and p's. Cooling isnt such an issue up here.... Most of the bits have come from Kev D. I seem to be buying one of his cars piece by piece!  I'm hoping to have it all ready for the Crail meets next year.

Awesome.  Early in the New Year we must get everyone gathered for a Crail outing, there's a few of our 'English cousins' racing in ACE who are keen to join in.

As has been said before it's be great to get a strong line up of aircooleds to scare some of the jap-scrap that generally rolls up that strip.
