Great days Racing today with you Danny and a string of 11.0's is pretty darn good in my book
Don't worry mate that ten is just teasing you for another day !!
Thanks for your support today and following your instructions, pulled the fanbelt off and promptly ran 12.19@109mph, a new pb time without belt for me
Cheers
Shane.

Well done Team Whirligig. Saw your 13.3 pass and a 1.7 60ft is excellent. We were impressed with the performance of your bug after chatting with "dad" ? about how he put together your motor himself and the limitations of your motor / trans combo etc. By the way can't recall what size motor your running now ?
Cheers
Shane.

its 1903 cc (1776 p&bs stroker crank) 044 cnc heads ,webb 86c cam ,all the good bits that go with that,cb rods ,ratio rockers and 48idfs 10.5 cr on super unleaded and octane booster.OLD SCHOOL 8)dont know what revs shes shifting at cos rev counter only goes to 7k and shes past that, could be 8k .be interesting to stick it on a dyno but we cant afford that ,it shouldant be as quick on paper ,full steel shell apart from rear gasser wings and deck lid and now we have full cage ,mind you it went 14.8 on our old 1679 bittsa engine ,fly cut 1300 heads and 36idfs.yes it is dad typing this .

Hey (dad ) and team
Was watching you running yesterday,, some great improvements during the day, !! Well done.
Amazing low 13.s with that combo,, must be a nicely put together motor,
Just nail those 60ft times a little lower and that 12 is not so far away.
Keep pushing !:)
Tony.

Hello Dad
well hats off to you guys and as you say a 1.9 litre on a stock ratio box shouldn't on paper be that fast or indeed rev that high !! But hey who cares, it works and is pulling the numbers and as Tony said, them 12's aren't far away. Unusual combo's rock and are more interesting than "off the shelf" combo's like mine !! If she revs past 8 with the belt on, imagine the limit with the belt removed !! As you may have seen with mine yesterday what a difference that made from 12.7 to 12.2 and the motor felt so much free'er and pulled in 4th for a change !! Happy Days.
