I don't get the whole Land Rover thing... to each their own, I guess.

[thread hi-jack]Has anyone built a correct/tasteful Cal Look Heb? Love to see one done up, right. Not some two-tone slammed resto thing... I'm talking honest to goodness Cal Look. That would look COOL.[/thread hi-jack]

not in single colour as far as I can remember..

Tero, the only thing that car needs is a huge engine (if doesn't already have one) and ditch the white side panels so it would be all black. VERY COOL lookin' car, otherwise. Thanks!

I know of an un-restored, pretty decent '59 (I think) sunroof coupe that's been sitting since 1962...

Sounds like my lazy sloth arse... sitting since '62.

I still have a new pair of unused Simples in the box somewhere.  Sadly, they are post-Meyer era I believe.  I do have my original box still, with the drawings all over it.

I was the creative director of a line of clothing and shoes called Vision Street Wear throughout the 80's and quit to start start Simple Shoes in 1991.  I sold Simple in 1996.  I got very lucky with Simple basically... but worked very hard.  I sold out early before anyone had a chance to figure out that I was an idiot.

Donny B... you are mistaken...Randy Carlson is my friend... but he and oldbug.com have nothing to do with Simple.

the shoe box drawings are all by my friend Dan Price.  His work can be seen on MoonlightChronicles.com.  But most of the VW stuff isn't on there.

I want him to make a line of t-shirts with the old vw drawings on them. Simple sold hundreds of thousands of t-shirts with his beetle and bus artwork on them.  Somebody should contact him to get together and build a t-shirt brand.
