Ercos on a tractor, huh? I wonder if CMS can make some 19.5-inch diameters for the rear? And no "super sano streeter" in text please, and certainly not an E-Ticket ride either.

You putting ERCOs on the tractor?  Cheesy
You should know Deano better than that – he only uses genuine DDS pie-pans on his cars!  Grin

Here is the short version..... The former land owner was a developer who only had the property for four years (2004-2008). He apparently never paid any attention to the contents, rather he was going to build homes there. So, the day we took ownership of the land (it was going to foreclosure by the way...), we cut the lock off one of the sheds, and found the Mustang!. Turns up that a "former" land owner (2002-2004) allowed a friend to store his car there, but never told said owner he in fact, lost the property in '04! Land owner #2 never knew it was there.... So, once the shed was opened, we stuck a battery in the car, added some gas in the tank, fired it, and drove the car off the property with four flat tires! The rest gets really complicated and legal, so I won't go into all the details. But ask me sometime in person. It's a hoot.

Ok  Wink

I wondered if it could be a "forgotten" car. The kind of story everybody like to hear.

Hope to get back to assembly soon, without notice of course.

HAHA!! Without notice... funny. Joking aside, that is great news, Deano. Dig the tractor, too.

Nice ride Dean.  The 67 will definitely be as nice as anything ever done.  Love the orange too.  My very first  custom bug in 1970 was painted orange. Was kind of a cop magnet...but I loved it. Unfortunately it was a pre-Cal Looker...glass fenders and all.

Keep sharing shots of the car progress. Great looker. What wheels will you run on the car?

Let's see, 2WD, high range, fourth gear, top speed.... 10mph? 1540 miles from McAllen to Vista. You do the math.

Wheels for my '67 will be original Deano Dyno-Soars 4.5s and 6s.

McAllen!? Jeez! What you should've done is purchase in Marble Falls ... would've saved you $30-40 in fuel and 6-8 hours!
Next time, let me know. You can stay with me here in Dripping Springs ... save you a lot of time and MONEY!

Tom, we drove through Dripping Springs on our way to Fredericksburg last Friday.... No worries. We had other (family) reasons to drive south to McAllen and do the deal with the tractor in person. It was well worth the drive as we saved 4-5k on what they want here in CA... We flew home, and are having it delivered next week to Vista.

Thanks for asking LB.... Not much on the '67, but I am talking with Buddy Hale, Frenchy and Mike Fischer about doing some work on it. I have too many other things I need to attend to before I can attack the orange one. I hate seeing it sit, but other things in my life have priority now...

Thanks for the offer Russell, but I am going to finish this deal yet! I still have other major projects to get out of the way before I can devote the proper attention to this project. Still battling with the county over my shop build, and still devoting too much time to another house project, which needs to go away soon....

But I did do some plumbing.. I think this is -1000 breather lines.... (you're looking at over $7k right there....)

Funny post Deano.  It is amazing how life gets in the way of our hobby sometimes.  I know the feeling. Still, what I've seen of the orange car, it will be first class when done.
