I have done a bit of research and found out (as most of you will probably know!) that the Treuhaft 010's were put into production when the Bosch 010 went out of production, and are a Mallory made item, also available branded as Scat. The advance curve is supposed to be the same as the Bosch, but they are available with single or twin points. What are the advantages if any of the twin point set up, and what total advance would you run with one?? I am looking at one for the 74x92 I'm building for my girlfriends '67.

All Treuhaft 010's I've seen have been single point. I've seen both styles of Mallory. I'd get a single point distributor and get an electronic conversion for it. Do a search and you should find what you need.

Dual point is not needed on a 4 cylinder and just makes setting the dwell more difficult.

I don't think it has the same curve as the Bosch 010, but you can change the total advance and get a spring kit to alrer the curve.

I originally had my Bosch 010 timed to 32* BTDC but I reduced it to 30* with no loos of performance and the engine runs cooler.

You have to play around with the total advance and see what works best.

So Glenn,
what do you think the 010 holds in advantage over most any other distributor for a stroker motor, is it simply the quick advance?
Is it possible for you to 'dial in' this curve to say an MSD distributor, with it's wide range of adjustability? ... Knowing it's not as COOL ...

The 010 has a nostalgic value no other model has. Compared to the the stock aluminum models the cast iron body is more stable.

The 010 actually has a bump in advance in the 2000-3000 range where larger engine like it.

I'm not a fan of altering the curve, I reset set all o mine to the factor spec. To major changes you have to permanently alter the internal parts. I have a bad of mutilated parts I found while rebuild them over the past 12 years. Most of them make no sense to me.

Glenn, thanks for the shims and fiber washers for the 019 all cleaned up and sorted, I think.

Got a Mallory twin point dizzy sitting around, can one set of the points be eliminated to run in the bug? or what other mods would need to be done to make it work.

Talking about the old Mallory 2 points. I have 2 in my shop that I would like to use. But, I don't know how to know there total advance curve. I know, there is differents set of springs that are color coded, but I never find the right way to have them tune correctly.
