The TRIMCO fiberglass funny car Beetle is probably the quickest flat-four ever to hit the Scandinavian (and the 'Pod) dragstrips.. Let us get some more details (and times) on this Stockholm-based wonder from you Swedes on the forum! Built in the early eighties. Full tube chassis with one of three special made fiberglass bodies. Where is it today?

It's in the land of tulips and wooden clogs!  But I'd like more info about it too...
You know Splitman... the twin of this body is not that far from your house... ;-)

I think one of the bodies was raced by some guys from the Netherlands, they called it Hod Rod

I remind seeing the car some time in the late 90's at Bitburg (VW-Speed-Weekend). Iit had a big Type4 engine and a EFI, if I remember correctly...

I found this shot on a german drag race website. Text says it was taken at Hanau/Germany (U.S. Airbase) in 1974. Is that possible?

Check out this thread on dragracing.de for more pics from the past. If you can't read it, just scroll down for the pics:

Thats right. They use a type4 engine because they have not much experience with that kind of engine (remember, thats years ago).
I believe it have 3100cc with nitrous injection what makes 450 Bhp.
