Just a suggestion, but i might be smart to change the name of your tread to f.ex "the oil discussion part II" so the lounger`s who aren`t here on a daily basis can find it.....

Good idea, I took the liberty of doing just that. Hope you don't mind Joe

I would be interested in peoples opinion on their choice of oil for a 2110 street engine.
I currently use 15w40 mineral oil, what would be a good choice of semi-synthetic or fully synthetic oil, looking at the Millers site they only list 15w40 as a mineral oil.
Also what do you think of oil additives such as Slick 50 or others, are they good or a waste of money.

Slick 50 = snake oil. It is a complete waste of money and does not work. Slick 50 contains teflon. Dupont, the trademark holder of teflon, even says it does not work as an oil additive.

Well that has saved me some money, thanks
Now what about GM EOS? I keep hearing about, is it available in Europe.

Got a Chevy dealer nearby?
If not, it can be shipped. I have plenty, I can supply you with it.

I'll have a look at the local GM dealer, Chevy has been launched in the UK but they are just rebadged Korean cars so I don't have much faith in them stocking the EOS.
Now if I switch to fully synthetic or a synthetic blend what weight of oil should I use for a mainly street with a few trips down the quarter mile mixed in, NA 2 litre motor.

Why use Synt.? Poor cooling and everything else?
Why use Mineral? Better cooling and nothing else?
