he had that blue cabrio 356 replica too, maybe still does? Big FAT Type 4, think it even had air conditioning. Gorgeous car. Love Fuchs alloys on 356's. that old article, catch the comment on alloys "valued at over $100 a piece"

I like the subtle touches on both cars above ^
Racemark steering wheel in 356, the custom arrangement of tail pipes, and the on the 911 match painted roll-over Targa bar, and the engine turned metal work on dash... all very cool and must have set the car apart.

I was lucky enough to have ridden in all three of those cars.... the blue one was the "one!" It hauled ass and handled like a slot car.

Mercedes had some cool colors back then. This guy I work with owns two very nice 300D sedans; one is painted a nice chocolate brown and the other is a metallic charcol gray. Nice colors for a looker.

Sarge didn't Vittone take you for a spin in that 911? Did you sell him those 7" alloys when you were @ Foreman's?

Not just A spin... lots of spins. Harvey and I sold him all his stuff including new factory Reccaro seats while working at Sierra Porsche Audi in Riverside. Econo Motors was a short drive away from Sierra and I'd have lunch with DV several times a week. Lake Matthews and some nice twisty roads were a short drive away... that Porsche was THE SHIT!! The Scirrocco ran some 12 second passes at the digs and was eventually bought by Tom Bitters (Riverside drug czar) who latter bought the 911. Those were the days

I remember having Darrell's red 911 in Brad's shop over on North Grove, as he did the headliner and carpeting. That car was a rocket!
