I've been keeping in touch with someone at York Drag Strip here in the UK , and Paul Hamilton from VWSpeedshop is at the 2nd UK Drag Day , testing the new motor setup in his Bay Window panel van . It has a turbo motor and has run a best of 12.6 last year .

He has driven the bus the 2.5 hours to the track  Cool

So far he has done 2 passes , the first a 13.2 , the second 12.0 @ 114 Shocked , backing off in third .

He didn't get any more runs in , due to an oil leak dripping on the turbo , here is the 12.0 run

we didnt have any oil leeks as such, valve covers where lifting with all the crankcase pressure. Grin

60 MPH nah... Wink 124 MPH was cool in it Cheesy with the last engine in 2006 Cheesy

so 11s are very near...
