Hi all, thought I'd start a Gearbox Thread since there is scattered info out there.
Lets see what everyone is running in their Cal Lookers and for what purpose, also tech tips on gearbox mods and preferred cores could be helpful to all.

Car             1967'
Engine        2276, 145hp
Use            Daily, occ. strip
Gearbox      4.375, superdiff, welded 3 & 4, steel forks etc.(known mods and builder), solid Berg mounted
Axles          Stock
Suspension  Rear stock height, Gabriel shocks
                 Front puma beam narrow 4" Pedder 90/10

Car '66
Engine 2007 140hp (soon to be a 2165)
Street only been on the strip only twice
Gearbox 4.12 superdiff Berg 5speed with all the Berg mounts
ratios 1st 378, 2nd 221, 3rd 158, 4th 121, 5th .89
Rear close to stock set at zero camber
front lowered with dropped welded spindles narrowed 2 in.
running KYB gas in the rear and KYB GR2 in the front

Gearbox      Stock '67 gearing w/ 4.12 r&p, 9 tooth main shaft, Mckenzie's Super Dff, HD side cover, welded 3rd & 4th hubs
Axles          Stock, soon to be polished and cryo'd
Suspension  Rear:   stock height, KYB GR2 shocks
                 Front:  narrowed 2", 2-1/2" drop spindles, KYB GR2 shocks
